Attention All Guests and Club Members
Santa Rosa 4x4 is officially changing their form of radio communications. Our club has chosen to now communicate with FRS/GMRS radios. We are no longer relying on/using CB radios. if you wish to participate on one of our runs, a FRS/GMRS handheld or mobile radio is REQUIRED. This makes the runs more enjoyable and easier to communicate for everyone. Thank you. We are using GMRS Channel 15, CTSS Code 21 (136.5)
Welcome to the Santa Rosa 4x4 Club Website
The Santa Rosa 4x4's Inc. is a non-profit, family-oriented four-wheel drive club located in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. We pride ourselves in welcoming families, singles, and people with all levels of off-road experience and types of vehicles. Formed in 1970, today's members of the Santa Rosa 4x4's still uphold the traditions that its founders envisioned: participating in safe, responsible, and fun off-road recreation; providing and partaking in social and educational activities as they relate to off-roading; and upholding land management and soil conservation practices.
We are also a proud member of the California Four Wheel Drive Association.
If you think you would like to become a member of our long-standing organization, or would just like to come along on a run, we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend our next monthly club meeting. We look forward to meeting you!
If you have any questions, you can also contact us at here.

Memorial Day 2022_Rubicon Adventure
A few of our members were able to sneak away to wheel Slick Rock, Lucky folks.
Trying to escape the cabin fever, a couple families got a chance to explore beautiful Slickrock Trail. Can't wait to get my chance to explore it too.
Some of our members also squeezed in a trip to Barret Lake
A couple families got another opportunity to get out of the house and run up to Barret Lake Jeep Trail. They discovered just how hard that trail can be. Made it about half way in.
New Years Day Run - 2020
The Santa Rosa 4x4 club decided to bring in the New Year with a snow run of course. We met up in Windsor @ 7;00am and headed up 101 to 162 and then to Covelo. We fueled up our rigs and made our way up to M1. We spent the day working our way over the mountain to Lake Pillsbury. We had a great day enjoying each others company, watching the kids play in the snow, and forging our way across some unbroken snow. Good times.
2019 Santa Rosa 4x4 Annual Toy Drive
This year, the Santa Rosa 4x4 club had a fantastic year for our annual toy drive. We raised about $5800 with a lot of help and support from the community businesses. BoDean Company, Stony Point Quarry, Knights Electric, Alpha Fire to name a few. Target, Kaleidescope Toys, and Big Lots helped suport our toy drive too. Thank you everyone for all the support.
Not Cantina for the Rubicon Run (Since it was postponed) 2019
Santa Rosa 4x4 Club had a great trip up to Not Cantina for The Rubicon 2019. We had originally planned to come up and participate at Cantina this year, as we had such a good time last year, but Cantina was regrettably postponed until 2020 due to construction conditions near Loon Lake. We had a great time camping and wheeling in the woods as we typically do. Even had a little romance in the air when a couple of our club members got engaged on the Wentworth Springs spur of Rubicon Trail. So happy for the new couple. Can't think of a better place. We drove up Thursday Aug. 29th and came home Monday Sept. 2nd. We wheeled in from Wentworth Springs to Ellis and out Loon one day, we went back in through Loon and back out Loon another day. Overcame some breakage and triumphed retrieving the Jeep back off the trail on Sunday. We got to watch the kids run around and.....well be kids. Watched some movies projected onto a screen at camp, cooked smores and swam in the creek. What a great way to spend Labor Day Weekend.
BLM Cow Mountain Grant Tour
The Santa Rosa 4x4 Club helped participate in the Cow Mountain OHV Grant Tour at the request of The BLM. Mendocino 4x4 Club coordinated their club and our club to meet at the obstacle course on June 7, 2019 for a demonstration of use of the course. There were quite a few folks in attendance on the grant tour. Thanks to all who could make it and participate.
Santa Rosa 4x4 Club Tree Run - 2018
The Santa Rosa 4x4 Club went up on our annual Christmas Tree run to Mendocino National Forest. We typically head up to Hull Mountain Road every year and pick out our Christmas Trees. We made a great day of it and enjoyed the snow, each other and a warm dinner on the way home.
Santa Rosa 4x4 Club annual toy drive - 2018
Sunday, December 16, the Santa Rosa 4x4 Club met at the local Big Lots store in Santa Rosa. Many of our members reached out to the community, our employers, friends, and family for donations towards the Toys for Kids program. Thanks to Big Lots, Knights Electric, Barbara Ragsdale, Steve Sullivan, Dave Crocket and others whom donated money towards making this possible. We raised $2700 dollars this year! A record year for our club. Big Lots of Santa Rosa, Steele Lane then gave us 20% off our purchases to help make some kids Christmas' better.

Santa Rosa 4x4 Club and Mendocino 4x4 Club working together on a spur of the moment project for BLM.
Some members of our club met up at Cow Mountain for a greet and meet of sorts. We also met with Ashley, the BLM Ranger for our area. We all introduced ourselves and discussed Cow Mountain and our clubs desires to work both together and with BLM. Ashley was prepared to put some signage up for a trail impacted by a landslide, so we elected to help her out and post her signs at each end of the trail head. Santa Rosa 4x4 is hoping to participate much more in coming projects at Cow and other places along side with clubs like Mendocino 4x4.
